These are absolutely wonderful. I'll keep my fingers crossed for some studies from "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World".

I've been following your DS paintings for a while and they're truly impressive.
I bought a DS several years ago just for this reason, but have had some trouble getting into it -specifically for outdoor studies. I run into the problem of getting too much glare on the screen.

Would you be able to post some tips and advice about using your DS as a painting tool?

Thanks!

Pauline: Sure. Any excuse to watch Master and Commander, again! :)

Nasan: Before I started painting on location with my DS, I spent some time in my garden doing quick studies and hopping back indoors to note my colour choices. After a while I began to remember roughly where to pick my colours on the wheel so the screen glare became less of a problem. It does lead to slightly generic values, but if I can find a shady spot I can usually get half decent results.
